Weekend update

Well, I have some kind of cold. I have bumps on my throat and on the left side it feels swollen and so sore that it hurts to open my mouth very far. I didn't do much today-but did manage to make party potatoes-yum and dude grilled out for us. I subbed all week, and we started practice this week. I'm not used to working these long days anymore and imagine that's why I'm not feelin so hot. Tomorrow I am attending an officials clinic in bloomington to become an official for the swim meets. I know I'm a coach-but I thought it would help me with our technique and also I might be able to make a little side cash.
I purchased the wedge shoes today, they should be here in about a week. I am looking for pearl/diamond drop earrings to wear, and maybe a pearl necklace to wear with my diamond pendant.
Summer is coming quick and I need to find a job-I picked up an application for the video store since I haven't gotten any calls from the meat market or the schools.
The cats are loving the weather-and are just lounging around near the open windows, ahh the life of a cat!
I posted a hair do that I love.

Choose some SHOOOZ!!

I am thinking I might need to wear low heel shoes so I can wear them all night and not have to take them off and have my dress drag the ground a lot. I like the idea of wedges-they are kind of retro/vintage. I also think wedges or wide heels would be nice so my heel is not sinking in the grass all night since the reception is at the lake. We will have a dance floor-but I want to be above ground the rest of the night too. If you are in the wedding party-this might be something to think about, especially if it rains at all the week before the wedding. I posted two pics of shoes, which do you like? If you have any ideas for me, I'd love to hear them.

Just another manic Monday

Good morning!
It's cloudy, but the birds are still singing. The first person I got to talk to today was a man from the porta potty business. We will be needing one or two of these beauties to accomodate our guests needs at the wedding. Also, a handwashing station would be a good idea. TO my surprise, they are not that expensive-but an expense non-the-less.
I am going to find a pair of shoes this week, and my pettycoat. No if's and's or but's about it. I would also be thrilled if we found a D.J. too.
I'm getting ready to call the tent company in Champaign to see about reserving our tent for the wedding. Then, it's just the little stuff.
My mom got her dress for the wedding, if anyone wants to see it, it's posted on her blog along with my grandmother's.
We had sooo much fun at Christi and Eric's yesterday. I got to hold Sophi for a while, play with J-man, and direct Tootie to one easter egg. Craig and I hid some eggs and the kids found all of them-woohoo! It was like Christmas morning all over again when toot and J got to open their Easter gifts-fun to watch.
I'm off to find a chiropractor appointment, and a dermatologist appointment. I'm sort of concerned about a spot on my face that's been there since before Christmas-just thinking it was a zit or something I haven't gone yet, but I think it's time. Wish me luck and I will let you all know how it goes.

I hate cleaning!

I am about to share with you my reasons for needing a job, and why I will probably never be a stay at home wife, let alone stay at home mom. Today is Good Friday-biblically anyway. There is no school today, so I'm home to do what people who stay home do.
To start off with, we are out of milk, so I decided to throw on some dirty clothes, half comb my hair, brush my teeth(quickly) and head out to the gas station to buy coffee. This was after I surfed the net for about an hour. I was determined to find pictures of cakes I love, but got bored because the computer was quite slow.
On my way back home, I drove by the house thinking,"I don't want to go back in there, I'll have to clean." So I drove past the house and down to the lake. It's cloudy today, so there was not much to see, except the gravel sitting on grass where they will be doing construction, I sure hope it's done by Sept. or our wedding reception will be surrounded by yellow construction tape. Fetching!
When I got home I hear a rumble in my stomache, searching the fridge, the only thing I wanted to eat was frozen pizza, very healthy.
After searching the net for another two hours, my back hurting, and my legs numb from inactivity, I decided I better do some cleaning. If you have animals that live in the house, you probably shutter at the idea of cleaning floors, as do I. First I tried a terry cloth floor duster, then I tried a mop with hardwood floor cleaner. Well, it looks wet-but still grungy since it's old wood. In the next room, I tried to speed things up a little-and use the vacuum. I know better, on hard wood it's pointless to use a vacuum because it just shoots the dog hair, cat hair, dirt, food particles, and little insulation balls right out the back and onto my bare feet, which are now dirtier than the floor. This results in me picking up the too heavy vacuum and throwing it as hard as I can, stomping to the room to lay down while listening to my pounding heart feeling my blood rush from one temple to the other. Remy is there licking me and tucking her tail at the same time because she knows, "mommy is having a rough day."
When my heart rate starts to slow and the pulsing in my temples begins to quiet I start to hear what sounds like Bob Marley on the radio. With a little bit of "every little thing is gonna be alright" I calmly get up, collect the pieces of the vacuum, use a regular old broom to push the dog hair out of my way, and get back on the computer (after I send Craig a message saying I want to binge drink or go on a shooting spree everytime I have to clean.)
This time my online search was for an "I hate cleaning blog forum" which by the way I easily found. Now I know, there are others out there who feel the same as I do. I hope I could get a laugh or at least an amen out of at least one woman who reads this.

160 days, that's crazy

well, I like to check my own blog every now and again just to see how many days are left until the wedding.Believe it or not, I do not have this memorized. Today, there are only 160 day until the wedding. YIKES! Craig emailed me a budget today, and I had to kindly remind him that I made one in February, and that he left a couple of things off. haha! We had a little meeting with the cake lady last night-had to take back her books that we have had for about a month now. We highlighted about 10 cakes, boy does she have her work cut out. We are now on the hunt for the D.J., and as before, I'm on the hunt for some shoes. For some reason, I keep picking out shoes that blow our budget-or are as much as our budget! My new faves are a pair of fillipa Scott shoes calles Anna. I also proposed the idea of God's Knot to Craig today. It's three different colored cords that are braided during the ceremony instead of a unity candle. One cord is Gold-to represent God, one is purple to represent Groom, and the last is white to represent the bride. Signifies god's relationship in our marriage and basically that three cords are not easily broken. No response from Craig so far,but I think he will come around. 160 days-wow!

the Grind

Well, I'm home and it's back to the grind. I bought the seeds for my salad garden and I will probably plant one pot today. Only the baby romaine lettuce, cilantro, and radishes will go in one pot. I have to wait a few more weeks for the tomatoes and marigolds. We have pretty little flowers popping up all aound our house. So far, Daffodils and tulips, but our bushes and trees are starting to flower too. Spring is definitely here.
